Jennifer Blood #1- REVIEW

Review for Jennifer Blood #1-

Jennifer Blood #1 starts out a tad slow, but with good humor.

Within the first few pages, I was engrossed in the story line.

I read a few shabby reviews online, and didn't expect much because of those critics' viewpoints.

SYNOPSIS - Jennifer Blood is a housewife during the day... however, at night, she brutally kills...

MY INPUT (PREDICTIONS/SPOILERS!!!) -

Don't read this section if you want to be surprised while reading the series.

I find her selection for "victims" is an important part of the storyline. She chooses her uncle to murder first, and there is a frank air of vengeance in the plot. The issue seems to be revolving around sexual objectification of females, and it almost seems like she is a survivor of sexual abuse, (just my prediction)

I cant wait to read Jennifer Blood #2!

Narration - 4/5

- Very interesting, narration was from her "diary," with her entries narrating the illustrations.

Dialogue - 4/5

- Rusty dialogue, typical of most comics. Gave a 4/5 though, because she speaks exactly how a edgy housewife with her specific interests would. The dialogue adds to the great character development.

Art - 3.5/5

- Nice art, a little shabby with the lines - but hey, there's definitely awesome art (all in color!) ...oh, and fanservice ;-)

Character development- 5/5

- *Amazing* character development. When you think of how they made the protagonist act/react, you must first evaluate Jennifer's past ... like real people. Very intelligently done, with great care towards her life and struggles. Other characters are a trifle dull, but they don't have important rules, so I will not take away important points from this review.

Overall - 4.5/5

I recommend this comic :-)
